Begin your tour with visiting India’s most popular hill station, Darjeeling. Known for its small-leaved Chinese variety tea estates and the majestic view of the hulking high Kanchenjunga Peak, the hill station has been a favorite haunt for many around the world. The rustic charm of Darjeeling is also counted as the reason for it being liked by everyone and of course, the colonial-era buildings make it look even more charming. Start the day with a beautiful sunrise from the highest point in Darjeeling, Tiger Hill. Then, make a short visit to Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop to get a fair idea of how beautiful Darjeeling is. Complete the day excursion with a visit to Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PNZ Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Centre, and the famed Tea Garden. Get the taste of the local food before leaving for the next and final destination of the tour, Gangtok.

Gangtok welcomes with its unspoiled natural beauty; alpine landscapes; thick luxuriant forests; torrent rivers and peaceful lakes. Gangtok is a serene destination that offers a glimpse of the North East region. With humble and hospitable people and beautiful landscape, it is clearly a destination to die for. This capital of Sikkim is also a base camp for other gorgeous places in the state. It is a prominent hub for Buddhist culture and religion and a hotspot for shoppers, lovers, diners, and fashionistas. There are a handful of sightseeing places, each special in its own way. A walk through the meandering roads can enable one to learn everything about this slice of paradise. On our tour, along with getting acquainted with Gangtok, we shall explore the neighboring destinations like Tsongmo Lake, which is situated close to Nathu La, the entry point to China. Tsongmo is the home to Brahmany Ducks and shelter for several migratory birds. We shall end our exploration by seeking the blessing of a Divine One at Baba Mandir, near the famed Tsongmo Lake.

Day 1: ARRIVE BAGDOGRA AIRPORT/NJP – DARJEELING

Meet our representative on arrival at Bagdogra airport or NJP railway station and drive to Darjeeling. Upon arrival, check into a hotel. In the evening you are free to explore the local area. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: DARJEELING

Early in the morning, we will leave for Tiger Hill for witnessing the sunrise over Mt. Kanchendzonga. Return to the hotel and en-route visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. Later, after breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PNZ Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refuge Centre (closed on Sunday) and Tea Garden (outer view). Return to the hotel for lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure, followed by an overnight stay.

Day 3: DARJEELING – GANGTOK

After breakfast drive to Gangtok, land of unspoiled natural beauty with alpine landscapes, thick luxuriant forests, rivers in torrent and peaceful lakes. On arrival, check into a hotel. For the rest of the day, you are free to explore the local area. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: GANGTOK

After breakfast, proceed to Tsongmo Lake (12,210 ft) and Baba Mandir, a 40 km drive which takes 2.5 hrs. This lake is located very close to Nathu La Pass, which is the entry point to China termed as the “Silk Route” and remains frozen for most parts of the year. The lake is home to the Brahminy ducks and many migratory birds. Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir, which is highly acknowledged for its spiritual worth. We can also visit the Nathu La Pass, which is the border between India and China. Later drive back to Gangtok. In the evening you are free for your own activities, followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: GANGTOK – BAGDOGRA/NJP DROP

After breakfast drive to Bagdogra airport or NJP railway station for reaching your onward destination.
